About the Retreat
For three days every year, women from all over the country get together for a weekend of recovery from the disease of alcoholism using the program of Alcoholics Anonymous through seminars, workshops, speakers, meditations, laughter, friendship, creativity, and new experiences. Any 12 step member is welcome to join us.
We stay in warm, comfortable rooms (see Accomodations page for more details) at the beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia.
As always, the focus of this year's workshop comes directly from the program of of Alcoholics Anonymous.
This years topic is "A Journey through the Steps"
This years speakers are Katie P. from Austin Tx., Marti B. from Buda, Tx. and Vivian Q, from Hilton Head, SC. You are welcome to participate in all or part of the activities that are offered over the weekend, such as guided meditations and yoga, hiking, bicycling (bikes for rent).
A silent auction will be held to raise money for scholarships which will cover the cost of registration to future Ladybug Retreats. Our goal is to award as many scholarships as possible to women unable to attend the Retreat due to financial concerns.
